i shall just keep this short & sweet..
really tired from all the typing of my emotion readings..i could almost memorise them (haha i wish)
thank you for giving me a little glimmer of light at the end of the dark dark tunnel...
was glad I finally see effort in Psy.
Nevertheless, I still remain negative about it. arghX.
Nothing much abt my personal life to add today apart from the fact i reached home @ 1pm today! woOhoOs!!!
am glad didn't have to stay in school until 8pm for mondays..
it's the last monday anyway..some kind of reward~
I feel fat from the oily chicken rice & choc ice cream~
Oh. and my brother's been cooking tea eggs (failed attempt).
The colour, smell, texture all there but the taste (ohhh a tad too bland).
If I'm the egg, I would've fainted from the boiling & re boiling & re re boiling & well u noe for the past 2-3days..
Alright on to Love part 4:
BLAME IT ON THE WOMAN, or so some of them say..
It's the woman that cause marriage these days to be so warped & fragile.
Hmpf. I read it with discontempt.
Oh really? Because ours is a patriarchal society so it's conveniently the modern woman's fault?
According to them, women's entry into workforce cause a disruption in the gendered division of labour (who brings the bread, who makes the bread)..
Here's the process:
Disruption--> traditional norms going down the drain--> Used to be fine, rather happy & peaceful conventional marriage has broken down --> increase in divorce rate--> thanks to women!It suddenly reminds me of the time when my psy tutor remarked on some comment written on the Tok Cock board (guess some of u heard it)..
The guy wrote: "I don't understand why some girls have to wear makeup to school!"
My tutor said to us: "Well this is the modern woman so you have to live with it! By the way, she's also not wearing your makeup, why do you have to care?!"
What a modern man. Funny too.hahas.
Back to the issue:
When will marriage ever be equal? In fact, it was stated with the wife bringing the bacon home too, it cause more inequality than ever to the r/s (seems very unfair to us women cause we get blamed for every change sObx)..
What makes it so difficult is the growing idea of wanting intimacy & mutual understanding in r/s. When 2 parties are working together only to realize his/her own self, things will never work out amicably. The realization of self through r/s & marriages inserts more self-centeredness than it used tobe when the traditional man work to keep the family alive & the woman work to keep the family healthy.
Now both are wealthy, personal issues like "Who am I? What do i want out of this r/s" start seeping in which results into more troubles~
